I can get a good 5 days out of this, and if I wanna pull it up I can get a while week. I then let the cast break up throughout the day (unless its super strong, but I haven't had a heavy cast in about 2 years). I diffuse till dry, or I think it is dry. When I am on my A game, I root clip towards the end of drying. I diffuse mostly upside-down and side to side. Then I scrunch more water out with my shirt towel, sometimes adding a tad bit more gel, spray with hair spray (Pantene Airspray is my favorite)- which seems to help with the frizz and end result is better. I then plop while I get my face prepped for makeup. Once I get out, I squeeze out excess water in a cotton towel. Repeat with the holding gel, often using more than one might think is needed (when using LA Looks, but any other kind of gel and I go lighter on the amount) I then wet plop while I wash my body and finish in the shower. I apply a small bit of leave-in to my ends (highlights left from last summer) I flip upside down, scrunch and rope in the recoil, doing the bowl method when I want extra good results. Please be aware of terms such as “big chop”, “afro”, “natural hair journey”.When I wear my hair wavy I have had my best luck with applying product in the shower, to really wet hair (not drenched- as I squeeze a small bit out).
